Further to our bulletin published on 17 July 2019, the Private Security (General) Regulations 2019 have been annulled by the Parliament of Kenya. On 19 November 2019 Parliament adopted the Report of the Committee on Delegated Legislation recommending the annulment of the Private Security (General) Regulations 2019. Parliament has the power to annul a statutory instrument pursuant to section 18 of the Statutory Instruments Act.The Regulations are therefore no longer in effect.
